We are accepting coat donations for Coats for Christ.


We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items to distribute to various organizations assisting needy families.


India Church Construction: Led by Selma Guzzarlamudi, this mission needs financial support as they diligently build a place of worship in a rural area of India without much local resources. Your support would be a great blessing.

 

Red Bird Mission – serves communities in some of the most economically depressed areas of Appalachia and the U.S.

 

My Brother’s Keeper Ministry – local ministry assisting the Florence community with basic food needs. Food & financial donations appreciated.

EVENTS

There will be a PARENT’S MEETING for those who have children participating in our children’s and youth ministries. It will be held Sunday, August 30th, at 4:00 pm in the FLC.


MOVING WITH THE MESSIAH exercise class meets on Mondays at 6:00pm and Wednesdays at 5:00pm in the Upper Room Classroom. Everyone is invited to join us for the fun, fellowship and fitness. WE WILL START BACK WITH OUR WALKING on September 2nd, at 9:00 am.  We will walk on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting from the FLC (Family Life Center). Everyone is invited to join us.


The WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY will begin a new study, Angels: Finding Hope in God Who Reigns Over Heaven and Earth by Melissa Spoelstra. Participants will gather on September 1st for the first meeting. The study group will meet every Tuesday, from September 1st through December 8th, at 9:00 am in the John Wesley classroom. The cost of the book for this study is $22. The CHURCH OFFICE will be closed Labor Day, September 7th.

Please join us September 7th for PICNIC AT THE PASTOR’S HOUSE. We will gather around 5:00 pm for this event. Everyone is invited to come.  This will serve as our BIRTHDAY MEAL for September. 


Our CHARGE CONFERENCE will be October 4th at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend.
